Brendan Schwartz

Co-Founder & Program Director

Brendan Schwartz is the Co-Founder and Program Director at the Cameroon Development Fund.  Brendan graduated cum laude from Connecticut College with a B.A. in International Relations. While at Connecticut College, he completed the SIT Cameroon: Culture and Development study abroad program. For three years, Brendan has resided in Cameroon to support Cameroonian organizations that work on issues related to economic empowerment, education, government transparency, and the extractive industries. He has conducted years of field research on the Chad-Cameroon Oil Pipeline and written numerous articles on the topic. Prior to co-founding the Cameroon Development Fund, Brendan was an Associate Director and Ground Coordinator for Breaking Ground, another Cameroon-focused non-profit. Brendan can often be spotted playing soccer on Yaounde’s mud fields.

Taylor McLemore

Co-Founder & Financial Director

Taylor McLemore is the  co-founder and Financial Director at the Cameroon Development Fund. He is also Co-Founder and CEO of Prediculous.com, a social gaming website.  Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Davidson College with a B.A. in Economics and Spanish. Previously, Taylor was Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives with Bank of America.  Taylor has pursued his interest in international studies and development through Universidad de San Lorenzo programs in Segovia and Madrid, Spain. Taylor was awarded the Kemp Scholarship for Adaptive Market Hypothesis research in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Taylor began his professional career in the Leveraged Finance & Loan Syndications Group at Bank of America Merril Lynch. Subsequently, he was part of the Initiative Delivery Team that supported the merger transitions of Countrywide Financial and Merrill Lynch for Bank of America.  Taylor has experience in venture capital consulting, wealth management and hedge fund investing.  Taylor loves the outdoors and a good glass of scotch!
